This assignment is the paperless version of a book recommendation. I love getting great book recommendations from friends, and for you, I think your peers can do the BEST job of recommending books. Therefore, what I would like you to do today is create a teaser on a book that your friends can listen to in order to find out if they will enjoy the book! When you write your teaser, use rich, descriptive words, and leave your audience dying to read this book!
To deliver your teaser about the book of your choice, we are going to use animated avatars. The avatar should represent a character in your book. You will be able to customize your avatar to represent your book. We are going to use the website: http://www.voki.com/ to create an avatar and give it a voice to tell our classmates about the book we chose. Please take the time to write/type your teaser today before you record. Print out a copy or turn in a paper copy of your teaser to me on Monday.

To share your talking avatar, please follow the steps below.
1. Copy the embedding code from the voki site. (It is the long code found after you click the PUBLISH button.)
2. Select the genre that best fits your book in the right navigation on this wiki.
3. Make sure you are signed in. Click EDIT.
4. Place your cursor at the bottom of the wiki page. 5. Type in your name and the title of the book. Click the ENTER key one time.
6. Click the WIDGET icon in the editingtoolbar...it looks like a tv set.
7. Click OTHER at the bottom of the list of options available.
8. Paste in the embedding code from the voki site in the box provided by wiki.
9. Save the code.
10. Save the wiki page before exiting.
